Tropenmuseum and Brunei Museum open exhibition during state visit

17 January 2013

The Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam and the Brunei Museum in Bandar Seri Begawan will be opening the exhibition Borneo cultures in Brunei and Dutch collections during the Dutch state visit on 21 January 2013. Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Máxima will be the first visitors to this exhibition, which signals the start of a long-term collaboration between the two museums.

Tropenmuseum first Dutch museum to present programme for international schools

For the first time ever, pupils attending international schools can follow an educational programme in a Dutch museum that has been specially developed for them. During Stories Around the World, the participants in the Tropenmuseum are given plenty of time to thoroughly explore a selected number of objects. The museum uses a method specially developed for this programme, entitled: ‘Stop! Look! Think.´
